The table boasts a stunning three-plank solid figured oak top with cleated ends, which is 1 thick & can be detached from the base to enable easy access into the house. The table has been constructed in the traditional manner from late 18th Century Georgian timbers with mortise & tenon joints, & then pegged, with a straight nulled frieze & shaped spandrels, to all sides. The table is raised on substantial turned baluster legs, on block feet, which are united by a central stretcher along the length of the table, & a further stretcher on each end. The table top features a stunning colour & stunning grain configuration, having been wax-polished in our workshop. The table comfortably seats 8 people. Benefitting from a central stretcher, it allows you to conveniently place kitchen chairs under the table, without any restrictions, unlike earlier tables that have stretchers positioned on the outside of the legs, which prevents you placing the chairs under the table. The table is sufficiently tall enough to fit your legs underneath & is sufficiently wide to accommodate serving dishes in the centre of the table. The table has been solidly constructed & is of excellent quality - it is extremely heavy! The table dismantles into 2 sections (tabletop & frame), facilitating easier lifting & carrying. The table boasts a rich brown oak colour. This table would look superb in a variety of rooms from the kitchen to the dining room. This item would certainly grace any home. So, don't miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
