Description
This perfect hardy plant for year round interest. Eucalyptus Gunnii 'Silverana' can be grown as a bushy shrub if cut back each year, or a tree if left to grow. It produces elegant, rounded foliage that emerges silvery-blue before maturing to green - ideal for bringing colour to the garden all year round. We recommend growing this plant among blue flowered perennials for a really eye-catching display, or even cutting some foliage to use in cut flower displays. Plant eucalyptus trees into any fertile, non alkaline, free draining soil that does not dry out. Choose a position in full sun with shelter from cold winds. Feed and water eucalyptus trees regularly until fully established. Once established, eucalyptus trees are reasonably drought tolerant and will require less attention. Unless it is intended as a specimen tree, Eucalyptus will need regular pruning in early spring to restrict its vigorous growth.
