The stunning Claudette Fans Necklaces iare named after Claudette Colbert, a well-known Art Deco era actress. These beautiful fans remind us of Cleopatra's headdress in Cecil B. DeMille's 1934 film, in which Claudette played Cleopatra. Antiqued raw brass expertly embellished with many layers of hand-dyed and hand-poured coloured enamel. Hung on a delicate 20" (inch) 14k gold filled fine cable chain. Gold filled is created by mechanically bonding a layer of gold to a layer of base metal. The outer gold layer must be at least 1/20 of the overall metal content by weight, and is therefore a much thicker and more durable alternative to gold plating. Pair with FiorSó's Claudette Fan Earrings Designed and made in Ireland. Very lightweight. Every piece has been hand-coated with a professional jewellers wax to slow tarnishing. However as with all metals, tarnishing will occur. A quick buff with the soft cleaning cloth provided will remove tarnishing. To best protect these pieces, keep them away from all moisture including lotions, perfumes, and oils, and handle them with clean, dry hands. Keep out of direct sunlight for prolonged periods. Remove before bathing or swimming.
