And because metal locks and hinges are an obvious weak point in any timber door in the event of a fire, this kit also contains six intumescent hinge pads and an intumescent kit. These help insulate the timber to maintain the integrity of your fire door should a fire break out. Fit one pad under each hinge leaf for FD30 and two under each leaf for FD60.
