Brambly Cottage Each dessert plate is unique, characterized by the brushstrokes of the decorator who painted it, and by a stylistic and chromatic tradition that has the origin in the medieval age, but that deeply developed during the renaissance. Colour and drawing are all inspired to the Sicilian Spring in to order to bring the sunshine of the famous Mediterranean Island in the home of our customers. The material is Sicilian majolica, a glazed earthenware. The item is fired 2 times; first, the handmade earthenware shape is fired creating the typical terracotta item, then it is covered with the ceramic glaze, dried and hand-painted. Finally, the last fire provides the final bright colour and aspect of our product. A special selection of hard clay combined to high-temperature kiln treatment. Since the product is hand-painted and unique, it can have minor aesthetic Imperfections that do not reduce the beauty and functionality of the item.
