Grow your own romantic roses with this breeding breakthrough variety! Rose 'Blue Eyes' is a stunning repeat-flowering and highly fragrant Floribunda rose that is highly sought after for its unusual colouring. Plants boast good disease resistance and produce an abundance of wide, delicate-pink blooms, each decorated with an exquisite mauve-blue centre. Rose 'Blue Eyes' has a short bushy habit, making it the perfect choice for containers but it is also brilliant in borders, creating a head-turning display each summer. Culinary note: some parts of these flowers are edible. Rosehips and petals can be used in making syrups and the petals will add flavour to cold drinks or fruit dishes. Height: 120cm (47"). Spread: 90cm (35"). Bare root roses will arrive trimmed back, ready for the new season, they will exhibit little signs of growth on arrival with possibly some buds in view. The bare roots should be planted as soon as possible in the ground as long as the soil is not frozen or waterlogged, if this is the case, do not allow the roots to dry out, place in a large container and cover with damp compost, or wrap the roots in damp cloth. Plant bareroot roses at the earliest opportunity following delivery. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well-drained soil. Dig in plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole.
