Description
The Overlap Pressure Treated 8x6 Apex Shed from Forest has a practical and traditional design and is built to last. It will help keep your garden clutter-free and offers a secure space for you to store garden equipment, the solid timber floor allows for storage of heavier items such as lawnmowers or bags of compost. The shed's improved design features smaller sections, making it easier to handle and easy to assemble. The shed is made using straight cut boards that are overlapped during construction, which aids water run-off and allows for natural movement of the timber so it can adapt to the changing weather conditions. The two fixed windows are made from shatterproof PET glazing, which will not become yellow or brittle over time. This flexible garden shed is made up of modular sections where same size panels are interchangeable, this means you can choose which side the window panel goes during assembly, or move the window panel forward or backwards. With more timber, these are the best overlap sheds we've ever made. This garden building features additional framing and a metal roof truss bracket for extra strength. The door is braced with strong double “Z” framing, has secure hidden hinges and is fitted with a hasp and staple latch that can be used with your own padlock. It can be hinged on either side of the opening to suit your garden. The roof is finished with attractive black sand felt. These quality garden sheds are manufactured in the UK with FSC certified timber and the smooth-planed barge board and finial gives an attractive finish. The Pressure Treatment of this shed gives it a guarantee against rot for 15 years. All fixtures, fittings and felt needed to build this 8x6 shed are included, along with easy to follow instructions. Installation Process We also offer an installation service on selected products. So, if you'd rather take a back seat when it comes to building, don't worry. Our assembly service means your new purchase is in safe hands and you can leave all the hard work and heavy lifting to us. After you have booked in your delivery, you will be contacted separately to arrange a suitable installation date. This will usually be carried out by our own expert fitting team. However, depending on your location or purchase, we may use a third-party company. Some products, such as the Vale Greenhouses, Gazebos and Retreat Sheds, offer installation on the same day as delivery. For most products, however, delivery and installation will be arranged separately. Installation is typically within 7-10 days of delivery, however at certain times of the season and depending on postcode this can increase to 3-4 weeks, please check with your retailer when ordering.  Upon delivery of your product, it is important to check all parts and sections to ensure everything is present. If there are any shortages or damaged parts, please contact us and we will ensure the required parts are supplied before the installation team arrive. If a job is aborted because the item has not been checked there will be a further charge to rebook.  Ideally, store the product as close to the assembly location as possible with the sections laid flat and cover the roof and floor sheets where practical. We do offer the service of installing in your absence as long as you have side access. We do need written consent and clear instructions on the position of the shed.  On the day of Installation please ensure:  - There is a suitable solid level base prepared before the installers arrive on the day. If you require advice on building a base, please see our base preparation letter for guidance. Should the job be aborted due to an unsuitable base, there is likely to be a revisit charge.  - The area for the build is unobstructed. The installation team require at least 18 inches around the whole building. Therefore, please ensure there are no obstacles that may hinder the installation such as other garden buildings, fish ponds or structures. Please make sure all vegetation is cut back prior to the installers arriving to allow for a successful build. Also, please make sure the garden is free of any trip hazards such as children's toys, tools, etc. We also ask that any pet waste has been cleared from the garden.  - You have requested permission from your neighbours for our assembly team's access if required.  - There is suitable access to the installation site without having to enter your property. We are not insured to carry items through your property. If you do not have suitable access then you will have to arrange for the items to be moved to the site of installation prior to the fitters arriving. - There are adequate parking facilities for the assembly team's vehicle and any necessary parking permits have been secured.  - There is access to power at the site (our installation teams carry extension cables).  - There is someone at the property for the entire time of the installation. This is particularly important so the installers can check you are happy with the siting of the product prior to the commencement of installation, and for the installers to familiarise you with your new building after the build is complete.  For further details on how to correctly prep the installation area, see Forest's handy preparation guide HERE
