Foscarini Big Bang ceiling light
Description
Foscarini Big Bang - designer ceiling light Big Bang - the big bang. The Big Bang ceiling light from Foscarini appears to really have originated from the Big Bang. Chaotic, confused, and with a certain desire for freedom, the rectangular plates made of methacrylate reach outward from the centre of the lamp. Six opaque plates have been layered over each other using metal brackets. The seemingly unsystematic arrangement perfectly represents the effect of the explosion and the associated dynamics. The light effect of the Big Bang ceiling lamp is purely indirect. The methacrylic plates were placed in front of the light source in such a way that the light shines out without glare through the transparent plastic and between the plates. The expressive character of this designer object fits well with design oriented styles of furnishings. Designer Vicente García Jiménez likes to play with light and shadows in his designs, bringing textures and colours to life. The Big Bang family of lights is not the only expression of his art. He also created the Fields, Le Soleil and Spokes series.
