Foscarini Plass media hanging light E27
Description
Foscarini pendant lamp Plass media - inspired by Venetian glass beads The unique surface as well as the special material of the lampshade itself make the pendant lamp Plass media so special. The shade seems like glass, but in reality it is made of a transparent polycarbonate, which is pressed into shape in a rotation process. With this technique large hollow bodies can be produced without welding. However, small irregularities in the material occur, which make each lamp unique and make the shade look more like glass. The inspiration came from the shapes and colours of the glass beads of the Venetian tradition. The modernity of the Plass media lamp comes from the use of plastic, which resembles glass without being glass. The international designer Luca Nichetto, who is at home in Venice and Stockholm with his studios, designed the Plass lamp series for the Venetian manufacturer Foscarini. It reminds him of ancient times, although it is made of modern materials - the perfect symbiosis.
