Fuchsia Lady Boothby' is a vigorous, upright, deciduous shrub with red-flushed stems bearing ovate, toothed, dark green leaves and, from summer into autumn, flowers with horizontal to upright, red sepals and dark purple corollas. This fuchsia is perfect for covering arches, fences or trellis, when supported, up to a height of 1 metre, and can be planted directly into the ground or in pots and containers. It is also a winner of the prestigious RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit). Grow in moist, fertile soil with the base of the stem 5cm below the soil surface. Provide a deep winter mulch and shelter from cold drying winds. Best grown against a trellis or structured support.
