Cabbage Savoy Vertus (Brassica oleraces)Sow Indoors: March- May.Sow Outdoors: April- May.Row Width: 18" / 45cm.Harvest: November- March.Cabbage Savoy Vertus (Brassica oleraces): This variety of cabbage, the Cabbage Savoy Vertus, is renowned for its wonderful flavor and densely packed leaves. These feature fairly flat, round heads. Roughly 300 seeds per pack.A hardy winter cabbage producing medium sized round heads with an excellent flavour. A favourite Christmas cabbage.Indoor Planting: Sow seeds 1.5cm deep in trays of moist compost, be careful not to over-water. Store in a glass house at an approx. temperature of 10-15-°c (50-60-°f). Transplant when the plants have 5-6 leaves, harden off first.Outdoor Planting: Sow seeds 1.5cm deep direct in growing bed. Keep the soil moist, and be careful not to over-water. When large enough to handle thin to 18" (45cm) apart. Keep well watered in dry conditions. Feed with a liquid fertiliser.
