The nesting box offers a variety of native bird species and a great nesting opportunity directly in your garden. Here the animals can raise their young and build a safe nest. Thanks to the suspension bar, the nesting box can be quickly and easily hung on trees or walls. The nest box should face east and be placed at least 2 meters above the ground, as this is the preferred orientation of most bird species. The roof of the nest box is made of zinc sheeting, which extends beyond each of the side edges and thus protects the entire box from moisture and rain. This guarantees that the interior remains dry. For cleaning the nesting box there is a flap on the side. At least once a year, preferably in January, the nesting box should be cleaned without disturbing the birds during the breeding season. Two plastic rings are supplied, each allowing different species of birds to nest. One ring has a diameter of 28 millimeters and is particularly suitable for various types of titmice, while the 32-millimeter diameter entrance hole provides nesting opportunities for sparrows, nuthatches, and pied flycatchers. Both entrance holes are woodpecker-proof so that the animals are not disturbed during breeding.
