Description
Hellebore x hybridus ‘Mixed’ are well loved for their elegant cup shaped flowers, providing an early burst of colour during the late Winter months, and into early Spring. These evergreen Hellebores are perfect for any border, bed or container, and will even brighten up any shaded corner. Their versatility is outstanding, even providing a great source of nectar for pollinating insects, and can even be used as a lovely cut flower for indoor vases. Plant hellebores in neutral or alkaline soil, in dappled shade. Hellebores prefer a moist, humus rich, fertile soil that does not dry out in summer or sit waterlogged in winter. When growing hellebores on heavy clay or free draining gravel soils, add plenty of well-rotted leaf mould or other organic matter to the soil prior to planting.
