The small double Solar Supremeis ideal for those who prefer a medium support, not too firm and not too soft. The mattress is upholstered in a hard wearing, quality damask cover with a micro quilted finish. Micro quilting sews the outer damask cover to the top layers creating a quilted pattern that covers the whole sleeping surface. This results in less upholstery movement avoiding any lumps appearing in the mattress. It has an open coil spring unit, also known as a Bonnell spring and offers a medium support. Open coil spring units are made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. To avoid border breakdown the edge of the spring unit is strengthened by a thick, rod-edge wire that adds support to the perimeter of the mattress. This lets you sleep right up to the edge and allows you the full use of the mattress width.. We have paired this mattress with our universal Solar platform style divan base. It is offered in a choice of modern colours and a selection of storage combinations. There is also the choice of standard castors or upgrading to contemporary silver glide feet.
