About the Hope Fortus Pro Boost 27. 5 The Hope Fortus 27. 5" wheel comes from the Fortus series, which Hope designed as a worthy successor of the successful Tech wheels. "Fortus" is derived from the Latin "fortis" meaning strong. The rims are wider, designed for stiffness, but not too heavy. Hope has retained the Pro 4 hubs (Boost) with their enlarged flange diameter. With an internal width of 30mm & 35mm, this version of the Fortus is aimed at plus tyre riders in the Enduro and Freeride sector. For many years Hopes Tech range of rims have been the wheel of choice for mountain bikers, from the lightest XC racer to the most extreme downhill rider we've been able to supply their perfect rim. In recent years the trend has moved to wider and wider rims to match increasing tyre profiles. The rims feature an optimised profile to keep rigidity, without adding excessive weight. The rims feature subtle waterslide graphics, however, we will also offer aftermarket decal kits in colours to match our six anodised finishes.
