Hedging dogwood plants are a wonderful deciduous addition to a mixed hedge. It has small creamy white flowers in spring giving way to berries in the autumn that are loved by the birds. The stems range from green through to crimson. Adding hedging dogwood to your scheme can help to provide good cover a t the bottom of your hedge. Hedging Dogwood is fast growing and can easily grow 40-60cm per year. It tends to be clump forming and can soon thicken up a hedge. This highly ornamental showy shrub will be a delightful addition to any garden. With creamy white flowers in the spring, dancing variegated leaves and of course the autumn and winter colour. We recommend 5 plants per metre in a double zig-zag row for a thick hedge, but you can get away with 3-4 per metre in a staggered row if you don’t mind waiting an extra year or two to form a thick hedge. Keep them well watered – especially in the Spring and Summer in the first year of planting.
