Description
Guelder Rose Hedging Plants are a hardy and robust shrub with white clusters of flowers in early spring and red berries in the autumn. It can be planted as a stand-alone shrub or as part of a flowering hedge plant scheme. Guelder rose grows well in most soil types and is happy to grow in shade or semi-shade as well as full sun. We recommend that you trim after flowering to encourage vigorous growth and flowers for the following year. We recommend 5 plants per metre in a double zig-zag row for a thick hedge, but you can get away with 3-4 per metre in a staggered row if you don’t mind waiting an extra year or two to form a thick hedge. Keep them well watered – especially in the Spring and Summer in the first year of planting. If you are not sure how many plants you need or which varieties suit your garden please just contact or call us and we will be happy to offer friendly advice!.
