The Prestige: Jade Butterfly Ginger Jar design was initially used to store and transport ginger and other spices to the West. During the 19th century, they then became collectible objects and have since been used as decorative accent pieces rather than functional containers. Each piece is cast by hand in fine bone china with the pastel jade colour and botanical design. Filigree gold detailing is then hand-painted by highly skilled artists and finally finished with a mother of pearl lustre.
