Originally established in 1861 in Schramberg, Germany, Junghans early history saw the company become the worlds biggest watch manufacturer at the time, with over 3, 000 employees producing over three million timepieces a year. A passion for quality and reliability that knows no boundaries. Junghans began to fit movements of their own design and manufacture into wristwatches around the 1930s. In the 1950s a relationship with Max Bill formed and soon began to flourish, providing contemporary designs for wall clocks, which were mainly marketed as kitchen clocks.
