Description
The 102 is the most versatile model in K2's all-terrain, all-condition Reckoner range. The Carbon Spectral Braid on the 102 makes it noticeably lighter than other K2 skis that have been around the same dimensions, which also makes for tips and tails that feel relatively soft and helps create a ski that feels poppy and responsive whether skiing trees or powder bumps. The directional sidecut and Double Barrel core shine when crushing turns on groomers. Put simply, if you re looking for playful all condition ski that will be as much fun around the mountain as it is in the park, then K2 have nailed it for you with the Reckoner 102. Terrain Type & Ability Level Terrain Type The 102 is super versatile, happy spending days in the park, finding hits around the mountain, crushing tight trees or getting deep on pow laps. Skier Type Skiers who do everything, from the park to natural hits, or just messing around the mountain popping, carving and slashing. Overview Shape Twin Rocker with a 102 waist and directional sidecut. Loads of manoeuvrability, plenty of float when you find the goods and the kind of response you want when charging. Rocker All-Terrain Twin Rocker is a gradual, extended rise at the tip and tail for added versatility and control in all conditions with twin tip skis. Camber underfoot helps with the pop in the park and adds grip on firm snow; the gradual rocker at the tip and tail ease butters and smooth initiation and release, giving the ski the right blend of control and looseness. Core Double Barrel. A dense, fir core over the edges for power and imapct resistance and lighter aspen centre core for a lively, energetic feel. Construction TwinTech Sidewall construction utilises durable full sidewalls to provide great edge feel and performance, with a cap effect for added top sheet resistance to ski versus ski impact damage. Key Features Carbon Spectral Braid Similar to the Mindbender series, Spectral Blend is also used in the Reckoner collection with some slight adjustments. This time, the tighter angles are found underfoot instead of in the tip of the ski. More open angles are found in both the tip and tail increasing the playfulness throughout the ski while still allowing for the ski to be both reliable and energetic. Carbon Boost Longitudinal carbon stringers are woven into the patented Triaxial Braid for added pop and rebound. EB tester’s comments: Mark (Trainer) I'd definitely take this if I could only take one ski with me. It was a blast and I feel like I could pick any line, in any condition, and be fine.
