Corteccia floor lamp - an extraordinary interplay of brass and birch bark The Corteccia floor lamp by KARE combines the noble brass look of the round base, stand and branching arms with the rustic character of the three shades made of birch bark. The latter look like cut-outs from solid tree trunks, but are hollow inside. Through this the light falls partly sideways on the wall, on the neighbouring umbrellas and on the frame.
