With a specially formulated foam backing, Korlok reduces noise transfer to rooms below - making it ideal for 1st floor rooms and multi-storey living. Korlok is a click locking floating floor, which is an ideal alternative to laminate and engineered hardwood click floors as it offers the same benefits of realistic wood look designs and hiding subfloor imperfections, but with the durability and waterproof qualities of luxury vinyl. Korlok can be installed over most existing hard surface floors or uneven subfloors without the worry of exposing any imperfections underfoot, thanks to our innovative K-Core technology. The acoustic foam backing pre-attached to our Korlok products reduces noise transfer to rooms below up to 19dB, without the need for separate underlay. Ideal for a busy playroom, home office, bedroom or loft conversion. Also unlike real wood, Korlok floors won't swell, crack or warp when wet. How many packs do I need? To work out how many packs you will need, you first need to measure the room you are going to be laying your new flooring in. This is as simple as measuring the length and width of the room in metres and multiplying them. That number tells you the measurement of your room in metres square (m²). For example, if the room is 3m x 6m that would be 18m². If the pack size was 2.23m² you would do 18 divided by 2.23 which would be 8.07. Mistakes happen, so it's really important to allow for wastage. Wastage is the allowance for cutting boards to fit or for installation mistakes. We recommend you add 10% to account for wastage. So, in this example, you would actually be buying packs to cover 19.8m². This would mean you needed 9 packs as you would need to round up.
