Upholstered in a soft knitted stretch fabric, the Response Gel combines deep hypo-allergenic fillings and body-contouring pocket springs. Highly breathable and instantly responsive, the Gel is a pressure relieving material, infused with Kaymeds gel bead temperature control technology. The unique gel beads disperse excess body heat away from the mattress surface and reacts under pressure to further increase its supportive properties. Its foundation consists of small diameter pocket springs with each one housed in its own cloth sleeve and totally independent on any neighbouring springs. Tightly nestled together, this flexibility allows each spring to move freely and provide piston-like support to the shoulder, hips and lower back area. With a strong reinforced structure, the Athena base is built to last and features padded sides and ball-bearing drawer runners for smooth movement.
