Then it's time to test the steam iron, because ironed laundry not only makes us look neater, the hot flattening of the textile fibres closes the pores of the garment, causing dirt to penetrate and adhere much more slowly. In addition, the heat kills germs and bacteria in the fabric: Cleaner, healthier and tidier - who wouldn't want that for their clothes and home textiles? So that this is also accomplished with as little effort as possible, the steam iron has 2100 watts of total power for fast and powerful ironing. Thanks to the EasyGlide ironing plate made of aluminium with nano-ceramic coating, it literally floats over the textiles. Since heat isn't everything, the steam function is available for even better ironing results. This ensures a continuous steam output of 30 to 40 g per minute and eliminates dry creases in the ironing swing. For very stubborn cases, a powerful steam blast can penetrate the fabric with 100 to 110g of steam per minute. The separate base station with its extra-large, removable water tank of 1100 ml is particularly practical. If you've just ironed your laundry, you don't want to spend a lot of time looking after your iron. That's why our steam iron has a permanent limescale filter that simply takes that off your hands. Safety isn't neglected either: a pilot light alerts you to a lack of water, while the auto shut-off prevents overheating. The extra-long, 1.9m power and steam cable between the base and the iron are wrapped in a protective textile jacket to prevent accidental touches from melting plastic.
