By using the stock derailleur cages, gear shifting vagueness experienced by other oversized systems is eliminated. The 12 tooth upper and 14 tooth lower pulley wheel format is plenty large enough to save watts via reduced chain articulation, while the full ceramic bearings keep drivetrain rotational friction to a minimum.
