This battery operated knife sharpener is ideal for ceramic knives. Hold the knife sharpener with your left hand. Press the "run"" button while inserting the knife blade into the grinding slot. Start with the broad end of the knife, slowly pulling through with several strokes to achieve a pronounced sharpness. Repeat this process in the other slot to sharpen each side of the blade alternately. The knife sharpener is operated with 4 AA batteries that are not included in the delivery. The grindstone cannot be replaced. It removes chips in the blade of up to 0.5mm depth."
