How do I care for my L George Design pieces? Follow these simple steps to keep your jewels looking their best. Limit exposure to water, perfume, sunscreen, lotion and hairstyling products. Each piece of jewelry is constructed by hand and therefore is very delicate. Please care for your jewelry by keeping it out of water, not wearing it whilst showering or exercising, and by keeping it in a secure place in between uses. Wipe clean with a soft cloth, and do not use conventional fine jewelry cleaner. What's the best way to store my jewelry? We recommend storing your pieces separately. Try hanging your necklaces and keeping your rings and bracelets in a covered spot, like a lidded jewelry box. Do your pieces tarnish? We purposefully craft each piece in the highest quality materials. However, if your jewelry is overly exposed to water or the products above, some tarnishing may occur. Additionally, your own pH may impact the life cycle of your jewelry. Please keep in mind that base metals like brass and copper react differently with every one's skin. What is L George Designs jewelry made of? L George Designs jewelry is handcrafted using brass. The pieces are then heavily plated with a 22 carat base and a 10 carat top coat to create a golden finish. Our silver plating is a durable rhodium. All pieces are electroplated for a long wear. We guarantee our plating for a year with normal wear and tear. If your plating fades we will re-plate at no additional charge to you. This offer does not include any jewelry damaged by overexposure to water or sun.
