About Merino WoolKnown as the softest of all wools, merino is sourced from merino sheep, a breed which originated in mediaeval Spain. The fineness of wool is measured in microns, with typical thicknesses of 29 to 35 microns. Merino is usually 22 microns thick and can be much finer, explaining its sublimely soft handle. It's also a superb insulator, often used in high-performance layers for outdoor sports.

About Cashmere Sourced from the downy undercoat of Mongolian goats, soft, fine cashmere has been treasured and sought after for clothing since before the advent of written record. In the 19th and early 20th century, Scotland's abundant woollen mills became highly skilled in producing knitwear from this luxurious yarn, making it a global centre for cashmere garments.
