The outer jacket functions as a shell which is waterproof, windproof and breathable. In milder weather the outer jacket can be worn solo to provide ample protection from wind and rain, or on active but cold days simply add the inner jacket to trap heat and provide plenty of warmth. Lightweight and synthetically insulated, the inner jacket will not weigh you down and can also be worn alone on dryer days. Furthermore, the inlux boasts a removable hood that is also adjustable, a hood wire and tapered cuffs, and is compatible with other zipped-in products from The North Face.
