Designed in 1892, Blackthorn was originally block-printed and features white blackthorn (or sloe) blossom and violets with meadow flowers of red snake's head fritillaries and yellow daisies. The flowers bloom from a lattice of curling foliage, leaves, and stems in this iconic Morris pattern. Blackthorn is a celebration of the beauty of nature. Blackthorn Navy mural presents subtle pops of creamy yellows, rosy reds and blush pinks, featured amongst a sea of multi-tonal green inspired blues. All laid upon a dark navy background, displaying this eye-catching Morris design in a larger scale across the lower half of the wall, subtly fading out the design as it nears the ceiling.
