Le Klint Arc – designer floor lamp
Description
Arc floor lamp with a handmade pleated lampshade from Le Klint As with most of the classic Le Klint lights, the Arc lampshade, created by the two designers Nanna Neergaard and Marie Hesseldahl, is made of a white, slightly glossy, translucent plastic foil, which has been artfully pleated. The pleating technique for which the Danish lighting manufacturer is known is a trademark of the company. To be able to do carry out this work, Le Klint employees even have to complete a three-year apprenticeship. With Arc, Neergaard and Hesseldahl have developed a modern series of lights that incorporates the traditional handicraft, but also expands on it at the same time. The narrow frame made of black oak is added to the white pleated lampshade as a stylistic element. The name Arc plays on its shape, and especially on the arched pleats in the lampshade. The two designers were inspired by the arches of the Grundvitskirche in Copenhagen. The connection to Le Klint is that the architect of the church, P. V. Jensen-Klint, is the father of Tage Klint, the founder of the company. Le Klint is a Danish lighting manufacturer that has been the court supplier to the Queen of Denmark since 2003. The company's pleated lampshades are now known all over the world. Energy efficiency class:A++
