Beautiful 19th century bowl with a stencil or spongeware design in teal to the inner & a brown transfer print, shown to each side, depicting a ladies tea party. The ladies are dressed in Victorian attire. There are some underglaze marks around the rim, sadly a chip that I have photographed (image 5) & some loss of glaze to the rim & some tiny nibbles to the base. This is a beautiful bowl, possibly for sugar. Price reflects the imperfections. Approx: Height: 7 cm Diameter at the top: 10 cm Antique Spongeware ~ Transferware Victorian Bowl Tea Party 19Th Century
