Lladró launched this special commemorative piece coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the death of Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948). The sculpture is an excellent likeness of the great political leader and thinker, frequently referred to as described as the Father of the Indian nation. Lladró's artists show the non-violence leader walking, in a tribute to a thinker who never ceased to tread the road to peace. His slight build, his characteristic austerity and his uniquely powerful personality are faithfully reflected in this glazed porcelain piece. Approximate height 31cm, created by Lladro artist Javier Molina and first introduced in 2009. Handmade in Spain.
