Description
Lophomyrtus ralphii Black Pearl is a hybrid variety of the New Zealand Myrtle. This compact evergreen shrub is known for its attractive, small dark purple-black leaves. Mature plants produce cup-shaped, lightly fragrant white flowers with a mass of stamens in late summer. This is followed by black berries in autumn. It is an ideal shrub for borders and patio container planting, providing contrast and texture.
