Louis Poulsen PH 5 Mini hanging light white modern
Description
A design classic by Poul Henningsen: the PH 5 Mini hanging light The PH 5 Mini hanging light is a design classic by the Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen and has been named after its creator, Poul Henningsen. In addition to his role as a designer, Henningsen also worked as an author and journalist – he was truly multi-talented. From 1925 until his death in 1967, he worked as a designer for the traditional Danish company Louis Poulsen. In 1958, he invented the PH 5 and its little sister the PH 5 Mini. This model saw him further develop his celebrated three-lampshade system, which had been launched back in 1926. In order to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the PH 5 Mini, new colour versions of the classic light are now available. The benefits and special features that set this hanging light apart and that have seen it be sold for decades include the hundred-percent glare-free and equally optimum lighting, which is directed both downwards, to the sides and upwards. The special, multi-lampshade system has been designed in line with the Scandinavian design principle: “Form follows function”.
