Louis Poulsen Snowball - designer hanging lamp
Description
Glare-free PH Snowball hanging lamp – fantastic lighting in all directions This special designer hanging lamp – a creation by Poul Henningsen – was launched back in 1958. A new edition was released in 1985 and brought with it great popularity. Just like other lights by this Danish designer, the PH Snowball is based on the principle of a reflective three-lampshade system. The light is predominantly emitted downwards, but also shines laterally. When the light is switched on, it emits totally glare-free lighting into the local surroundings and also shines itself. The PH Snowball hanging lamp is ideal for creating atmospheric table lighting in the dining room and living room. Poul Henningsen, who worked together with the lighting company Louis Poulsen from 1925 to his death in 1967, was not just a design, but also an architect, journalist and writer. His desire to create totally glare-free lighting saw him create a whole range of lights that fascinate in terms of both their aesthetics and their functionality. The traditional company Louis Poulsen (founded in 1874) stands for simple, attractive design with the aim of fulfilling the human need for light in the best possible way: with wonderful lights.
