Description
Cork leather is a sustainable material made from the bark of the cork oak tree. Cork oak is unique in its ability to regenerate its outer bark. After a tree reaches 25 years of age, it can be stripped of its cork once every 9 to 12 years without causing damage to the tree. As a fabric, cork is high-durability and retains it's natural look and feel. This material is environmentally friendly, hypoallergenic, water resistant and stain resistant as well as easily cleaned and long lasting. All of these qualities make it a perfect alternative to animal leather. Handmade in a traditional three-piece construction, the Watson & Wolfe classic cork belt in blue is made in exactly the same way as an animal skin belt, but 100% cruelty free and vegan. Cork can be cleaned with plain soap and water using a cloth or soft brush. Refrain from using chemical agents or abrasive materials, as you risk damaging the surface of the cork.
