Description
The distinctive and sporty diamond pattern of the argyle, seen on golf courses across the world, began life in the 17th Century as a representation of the tartan worn by the Clan Campbell of Argyll, hence the name. The style was taken up and popularised by golf aficionados such as the Duke of Windsor in the 1920s. Our Scottish knitwear argyle v neck is a product of that history, made using the time-honoured intarsia method, in the famed woollen producing town of Hawick on the Scottish Borders by skilled heritage craftspeople. The jumper is beautifully crafted and hand finished from quality double-weight UK lambswool and bears our Scots piper emblem on the lower left sleeve. This Total Easy Care jumper can be easily machine washed at 40°C and tumble dried.
