Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Gold Rush' is a less vigorous variety of Redwood tree with fissured bark. Its branches become adorned with stunning golden-yellow leaves throughout the spring and summer, turning yellow-brown in autumn before falling. 'Gold Rush' is a fully hardy, deciduous conifer that makes a fine specimen tree - great for public spaces, large gardens or estates, where it will have room to reach its full potential. You’ll love the unusual reddish peeling bark, which becomes more grooved and gnarled with age providing an attractive sight throughout the winter. Height: 8m (26'). Spread 4m (13').
