Description
IT’S ABOUT WHO YOU WANT TO BE It’s not about who you are when you’re riding an ebike. It’s about who you want to be. Introducing SLY. ONE SLY FITS ALL. R AND RR: TWO BUILDS THAT DEFINE SLY Sometimes less is more. We had that clear from the beginning when designing SLY. The two builds available are the R and the RR, and they both boast 4 piston brakes, all-new 2.5” Maxxis DHF/DHR II EXO+ tyres, 12 speed Eagle T-Type drivetrains, up to 210mm ONOFF Pija dropper posts, and 800mm handlebars. The R build comes with a 160mm fork with 35mm stanchions, while the RR has a burlier 160mm fork with 36mm stanchions. Both models come with the Bosch display, mounted on the handlebar. And the mini remote on the handlebar to switch between assist modes on the Bosch SX motor. SLY: A SURE BET After the NEAT and DUNE, SLY is our first mid-power bike to come with a Stealth Alloy frame; all the better to cover the needs of riders wanting to get a foot in the door of the ebike world, or for riders who’d rather not invest quite so much in their light eMTB. That said, from the very beginning we were committed to making SLY’s frame our most advanced full suspension ebike Stealth Alloy frame to date. TAKE A SECOND LOOK: IT’S ALUMINIUM It’s our most advanced full suspension ebike Stealth Alloy frame to date, bar none. The seamless welds make the joints between the main frame tubes so smooth it’s hard to tell they’re there at all. You’re going to have to give the frame a few taps before you believe it’s really aluminium. It’s the aesthetic of aluminium taken to an extreme. SAME IDENTITY AND FEATURES SLY’s Stealth Alloy frame demonstrates just how advanced our aluminium technology is and how finely we can tune it to meet the design criteria demanded by individual models. In the case of the SLY we really wanted to showcase how we can endow an aluminium bike with the same identity and the same features as we do our range-topping carbon fibre frames. The frame carries the same organically angular design as the rest of the Light eMTB range, the NEAT and DUNE, yet with the added bonus of the aesthetics of aluminium. The welds join the alloy tubes so seamlessly they’re almost invisible. THE DEVIL’S IN THE DETAILS We take the same care, and show the same obsession for perfection with our Stealth Alloy bikes as we do with our carbon fibre models. SLY comes with our headtube HHG (Hidden Cable Guide) feature, custom fitted rubber chainstay, downtube and shock protectors, and a UDH mech hanger, as well as an integrated chain guide and two bottle mounts (one of which can be used to mount the range extender). SLY, AND THE NEAT PROTOTYPE Some say that SLY was born of the aluminium prototype of NEAT and they’re not wrong, but there’s more to it than that. In 2022 we made a striking CNC aluminium prototype for the NEAT. Once we’d seen the performance and the versatility we were getting from that package, we decided to try it with the (still in development) Bosch Performance SX motor we were planning to use on the DUNE, and we were blown away! So, two years of development later, we have a third Light eMTB to add to our range. From prototype to production in short order. Just how we like it at Mondraker! SLY and NEAT can be regarded as two of the best in class when it comes to Light eMTBs. SLY shares the same 150mm rear travel and 160mm fork as NEAT. SLY also inherits the same geometry and kinematics as NEAT and likewise takes advantage of Forward Geometry and our Updated Zero Suspension System. Where SLY has NEAT beat is in its size range, as it’s the first bike in our Light eMTB range to come in 5 sizes: S, M, ML, L and XL. BOSCH PERFORMANCE SX SLY builds on the compact, light and punchy Bosch Performance SX with its 55Nm of torque and 600W of peak power. It’s the same motor we chose for the DUNE and combined with its 400Wh integrated battery it offers a very similar riding experience and performance to the NEAT and of course the DUNE. BOSCH SX AT UNDER 21KG SLY opens the door to the performance offered by our carbon fibre ranges while using a full suspension aluminium frame to keep both the price and the weight firmly under control. SLY builds on the punchy, light, 55Nm, 600W peak power, Bosch Performance SX motor. It’s the same motor we use in the DUNE, and together with an integrated 400Wh battery it offers a riding experience similar to that of the NEAT and the DUNE. Riders looking for a little more (you know who you are) can add the optional 250W range extender. WIRELESS SHIFTING SLY gets rid of cables where you least want them. To give your cockpit that minimalist look, and to improve shifting overall, we’ve fitted both builds of SLY with SRAM’s AXS T-Type drivetrain, both shifter and cassette, to really up the ante. No longer do you have to spend on carbon fibre builds just to get the latest tech. ALL NEW ONOFF WITH SLY The design, the aesthetics and the premium performance of SLY, backed by the all-new range of ONOFF components. Our in-house component brand has taken a huge leap forward for the 2025 season, adding value to the whole of the Mondraker range. Accordingly, SLY in both R and RR builds comes fitted with S3 and S6 series components respectively, including stems, bars and grips. Both builds come with the S6 series Pija dropper post, with its all-new remote, and travel between 140mm and 210mm depending on frame size. ONOFF and Mondraker, upping the ante. SLY R: ACCESS YOUR SLY Access a world of SLY. Access the best cost performance out there. The R build offers RockShox suspension with a Psylo Gold RC 160mm fork paired with a Rockshox Deluxe Select+ shock; SRAM 4 piston DB8 Stealth brakes to keep things firmly under control, and Mavic 29”, 30mm E-CrossRide 29 wheels for reliability and strength. Our component brand ONOFF supplies the handlebar, grips and stem from its S3 range, while the S6 range offers up the Pija seatpost in lengths from 140mm to 210mm depending on frame size.
