Description
Packable and hooded PERTEX QUANTUM jacket from Montane for mountaineering, climbing and walking The Prism jacket from Montane a great addition to your mountain outerwear as a stand-alone piece or as an insulating layer. Perfected over the years, the Prism Jacket boasts a 40g PrimaLoft Silver ECO insulation throughout to achieve maximum warmth for minimum weight. Environmentally friendly, PrimaLoft Silver ECO insulation uses approximately 28 recycled water bottles per kilogram, which averages to 8 bottles per finished jacket Combining 70 recycled fibre technology with a proprietary water repellent treatment and millions of air pockets, the Prism Jacket provides immediate warmth without weight or bulk, keeping you dry even in wet weather. The Prism jacket has been designed to have a PERTEX QUANTUM 20D nylon fabric outer, which combines a tightly woven structure and incredibly fine yarns to trap still air and efficiently provide insulation, while FEATHERLITE Mini Rip-stop 20D nylon lining exceptionally soft against the skin, highly breathable, and fast-drying. A fully adjustable helmet-compatible hood can be rolled away for comfort and practicality when not in use, and articulated arms reduce hem lift during high reach movement, allowing the material to move with you for active comfort. For storage, Montane has provided two insulated map-sized hand pockets, which are positioned so that the jacket can remain functional with a backpack waist belt or climbing harness on, and an external chest pocket with a YKK zip. Conveniently packable too, the Prism Jacket stuffs into its own right-hand pocket with an internal carabiner loop.Used and abused by Mountain Rescue teams across the UK, the Prism can be worn as a mid-layer within any shell system or alone as an outer jacket in drier weather. All these features make the Prism an extremely versatile jacket, making it perfect for a range of different activities from backpacking and rock climbing to even mountain biking or mountain marathons.
