Description
Montblanc Watch Star Legacy Orbis Terrarum 126108. Taking its name from the Latin word “Orbis Terrarum”, meaning globe, earth and world, the Montblanc Star Legacy Orbis Terrarum is one of the most beautiful and affordable world-timer watches we have ever seen. Its inspiration remains based on the original Minerva pocket watches of the 1950’s with a contemporary desire to deliver a simple to set, easy to read worldtimer function. The display is controlled using the single onion-shaped crown on the left hand side of the case which allows you to correctly set the time and view 24 time zones at a glance. The nautical blue dial of the Montblanc Star Legacy Orbis Terrarum is beautifully constructed, crafted from sapphire crystal with a rotating disc on the upper half and an applied three-dimensional Northern Hemisphere map which is encircled by the 24 cities of the 24 time zones. On the bottom half, a day and night indicator rotates in 24 hours alternating from light blue for the day to dark blue for the night. Circling the dial is a smooth unadorned bezel matched by the smooth satin-finished stainless steel case. The case measures to 43mm in diameter, offers a 50 metres water resistance and secures to the wrist by a blue Sfumato alligator leather strap handcrafted in the Montblanc Pelletteria in Florence. Powering the Montblanc Worldtimer watch is the MB 29.20 automatic winding movement boasting a 42 hour power reserve and a Cotes de Geneve striped rotor viewable through the sapphire crystal case back.
