The features are optimised for climbing and mountaineering. The insulated hood uses Mountain Equipment s Firestorm construction, combining a sewn-through baffle structure with an outer layer to provide extra defence from the weather. It is also helmet-compatible and easily adjustable. Seam-free shoulder panels improve water resistance when wearing a pack, and the adjustable cuffs and hem drawcord allow you to seal out bad weather.The zipped hand pockets are positioned to be accessible while wearing a harness or pack waist belt, and the internal drop pockets are roomy enough to keep gloves, climbing shoes, or even a water bottle warm.
