We are thrilled to be joining forces with the iconic Natural History Museum to create this range, with a focus on the Museum’s expansive heritage and commitment to sustainability. This retro collaboration collection is inspired by nostalgia, designed to recreate the feel of souvenirs you might have found in a museum gift shop years ago! We’re proud to be an official licensing partner of the museum, helping to support the fantastic research and archivism that they do.© The Trustees of the Natural History Museum, London 2022. Crafted from our favourite incredibly soft Livaeco™ Viscose, Finette features a corozo button-through front with a classic collar and short sleeves with elasticated shirred cuffs. Finette also boasts pleats at the bust with a shaped yoke, an elasticated panel to the back for ultimate comfort, slant pockets at the hip, and a midaxi length. The all-over print composed of interweaving twines with playful primates, parrots, and vibrant botanicals makes Finette a real showstopper. In a colour palette inspired by ‘Werner’s Nomenclature of Colours,’ a colour guide that was invaluable to Charles Darwin during his voyage on HMS Beagle, this dress is a true celebration of the beautiful and scientifically important botanical illustrations that are held within the Natural History Museum's vast collection!Fun fact: In a pre-photographic age, Werner’s Nomenclature of Colours gave the world an official classification of colour in nature, enabling naturalists and explorers to fully describe the world around them. First published in 1814, this wonderful book remains a treasured tool today. Each shade is described using ‘like colours’ from the animal, vegetable or mineral kingdoms, providing a practical guide to the colours found in nature. We could think of no better source to inspire the palette for this print.Dee is 5’9.5” and is wearing a size 10Laurissa is 5’9” and is wearing a size 16Size 10 dress length: 125cmRegular fit - take your usual sizeLivaeco™ Viscose fabricCorozo buttonsFully linedMidaxi lengthSlant pocketsAll-over primate, parrot and botanical printFor specific measurements of this garment, please see the Size Guide.
