Shape Overview Penned by Never Summer Founder Tim Canaday, the Harpoon's unique fully directional volume shifted surf-inspired shape features a not insubstantial 13mm of taper at the tail. This game-changing design delivers a unique performance that not only floats but one which also rips on the piste. Complementing this innovative shape is the Vario Power Grip sidecut. Formed by combining a deeper sidecut in front of the insert packs with a shallow sidecut under the feet and a straight section in the centre, it increases pressure into the most critical parts of the edges adding control and response in all conditions.Profile Key to the Harpoon's blend of surf-inspired ride and hard charging carving performance is the freeride inspired Fusion Rocker Camber profile. This overall rocker profile blends an extended transition area in the front of the board with traditional camber under the front foot and a more aggressive Ripsaw Camber under the back foot. This unique profile delivers effortless float in the nose, but more importantly, it adds a powerful and dynamic drive to the board, providing that trench laying piste performance.Construction Internally the Harpoon doesn't hold back when it comes to high-end construction and heading this up is the NS SuperLight wood core. This lightweight core combines a custom blend of wood species to create one of the lightest and most durable boards on the market. This is then reinforced with Never Summers advanced structural layers which are formed from a combination of playful Bi-Lite glass and STS pre-tensioned glass running the length of the effective edge. This creates a solid and stable ride while still allowing the board to be a little bit more progressive through the centre.
