Description
Debuting in 1987, the AM1 was the very first to display Air cushioning in the sole, a design cue thought up by Tinker Hatfield. This also just so happened to be the first silhouette he designed for Nike, so you'd be right in thinking it's a pretty important shoe. This one comes with a 'Dirty Denim' colourway, so called because it used the lesser-utilised material of denim for the upper. Denim overlays sit on a buttery suede base, offering up varying tones of light blue which are complemented by darker blue Swooshes, lining and tongue labels. The cushioned midsole has an aged, sail look for a retro feel, while Air cushioning adds spring to your step, and a grippy sole completes the shoes with brown gum rubber. DV3050-300
