The Nike SB Dunk Low “Black and Tan” is a beer inspired colorway that references the layered lager and stout medley. Nike SB released the “Black and Tan” following adult beverage inspired luminaries like the “Heinenken” and “Guinness” back in March 2012. As mentioned, the black and brown look mimics the effects of pouring a brown ale into a glass of dark ale to form a “black and tan” or as it’s also referred to, a “Half and Half” or “Light and Bitter. ” Rich brown leather appears on the forefoot and eyelets. The same hue appears in suede on the perforated toe. The mid-panel features a brown-to-black fade in reference to the beer concoction in which the shoe draws design inspiration. A tan leather Swoosh appears on both sides. Black “Nike” branding is embroidered on the tan leather overlay on the heel. “Nike SB” detailing appears on the nylon tongue tag stitched onto the puffy black mesh tongue. A graphic of a bubbling beer mug is printed on the insole. Release date: March 2012.
