Description
The Nike Kobe 9 Elite "Detail" is a version of Kobe Bryant's ninth signature shoe designed for his younger fans. The grade school colorway features a grey and black mesh upper, a reinforced overlay on the toe, and a carbon fiber heel plate. Grey leather covered in a stone-like pattern inspired by the Italian Renaissance is used on the tongue and wraps the ankle. The high-cut ankle collar of the kids basketball shoe is inspired by an Achilles injury Kobe suffered. The red notches stitched up the heel represent the stitches he received after surgery. The Nike Kobe 9 "Detail" sits atop a Lunarlon-cushioned midsole and a pressure-mapped outsole tread.
