Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance adds the "Canon of Vengeance" to the original "Canon of Creation". That means you have 2 story paths to walk down. In the Canon of Creation your world is turned upside down when you wake up in alternative reality. Tokyo is ravaged by demons and you have to use your newly found supernatural powers to fight them. Canon of Vengeance throws you into a fight with a new demonic faction. They might be more powerful and devious than then ones you've fought before, but you have angels on your side and some new tricks up your sleeve. Good to know - The turn based battle system is back, but with updated skills and gameplay elements - Both story paths have original characters on both sides - you'll meet new friends and face different demons - To earn rewards you can complete subquests - some will even allow you to play as a demon - You can strike up a conversation with a demon and use your negotiating skill to turn them into allies
