Description
Description Customers rave about our Harriet Dress. Its the one dress they slip on everyday of their holiday. Made in the softest cotton, this garment involves a series of crafts-persons. Firstly a block-maker carves the flower design onto blocks of wood, which then goes to the hand-block printer to stamp out the pattern on the cut-out garment pieces. Part of the garment then goes for stitching after which, it is passed to the artisan embroiderers for hand embroidery called chikan work. A gift handed down for centuries in the small family I community work with. Each piece is truly unique. Each piece is exquisite. To be treasured. A simple easy fit-style (buy one size smaller for a fitted look) with three-quarter sleeves. We recommend machine or hand wash at 30 degrees with similar colours. Please wash on reverse to protect the delicate embroidery, using non-bio washing powder. Iron on reverse if preferred.
